Ferrari SF15-T for Assetto Corsa Red Pack DLC Announced

After last month’s awesome Porsche Licence announcement for Assetto Corsa, Kunos Simulazioni’s Marco Massarutto hinted that ” The best was yet to come”. Shortly after, Kunos Simulazioni announced a new upcoming DLC add-on, named “Red Pack”. It was pretty obvious that the pack would feature some Italian flavored racing cars.

Soon, the first Red Pack DLC teasers showed us the classic Maserati 250F Formula One car and more recently the modern Lamborghini Aventador SV supercar. Both cars were presented on the laser-scanned version of the Austrian Redbull Ring Spielberg circuit.

While many legendary Italian sports cars such as the Maserati and the Lamborghini look awesome in red, it did not exactly explain why the DLC was named “Red Pack”. Let’s face it… Red is as good as synonymous for Ferrari.

Today Kunos Simulazioni dropped the bomb and announced that the Ferrari SF15-T Formula 1 car will officially become part of the Assetto Corsa racing simulation.

The Scuderia Ferrari SF15-T Formula one cars competed in the 2015 Formula One season and were driven by Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Räikkönen. Vettel managed to win three Grands Prix during the 2015 season. (Malaysia, Hungary and Singapore.) Continuing his personal tradition, he named his SF15-T “Eva”.

The 2015 Scuderia Ferrari Formula One car is powered by a 1600cc V6 Turbo Hybrid engine that was limited to 15000 rpm. It transfers all the power to the rear wheels via a Semi-automatic 8-speed gearbox.

The Red Pack DLC will launch on July 14th on Steam and will also be available for the console versions of Assetto Corsa later in the year. (August 26th in Europe and August 30th in North America.)
