First look at the iRacing Nordschleife by Betta Lines
Last Tuesday, iRacing started deploying one of their biggest Build updates to date. Besides the usual huge list of front and backend improvements, the latest iRacing build also introduced the laser scanned Nurburgring Gp, Nurburgring Nordschleife and Southern National Motorsports Park tracks. As if that was not enough, also the McLaren-Honda MP4-30 Formula One made its appearance on the online racing service.
As many of you already know by now, things did not go according to plan. Because of the sheer size and complexity of the build, the iRacing staff ran into some configuration problems and could net get the service running within the scheduled timeframe. This resulted in a situation where many of the iRacing members have not yet tried out the new and very exciting content pack.
Betta Lines was one of the few lucky ones who managed to get a test session going, and now shared his first impressions of the newly added iRacing Nordschleife track and the core updates. During this talk & drive, Betta Lines drives the iRacing RUF Track version around the most anticipated and biggest track ever released on the iRacing service.
For two days, the iRacing development team has been working relentlessly to get the service restored, making sure we can all enjoy this amazing new build. For now, it looks that the iRacing platform is running fine, but you can expect some more downtime while the iRacing staff deploys some more tweaks.
