FLOEB Reviews the TURN Racing 488 Wheel

Flo Pernon aka FLOEB reviews the TURN Racing 488 Wheel rim.

The TURN Racing 488 is a custom build sim racing wheel modeled after the racing rim of the Ferrari 488 GT3. The rim measures 29.5 cm long by 15.5 cm and is build up around a 6 mm carbon front plate fitted with molded polyurethane grip handles and CNC cut plastic and carbon backplate.

The wheel rim features 11 high-quality APEM push buttons, 3 toggle switches, and two rotary encoders. Furthermore, the TURN Racing 488 rim features a set of adjustable Asher Racing magnetic paddle shifters fitted with carbon fiber paddles.

The wheel functions are powered by a Leo Bodnar BU0836 circuit board which connects via an industrial DIN connector with lock and a 60cm heavy-duty coiled cable. The main cable connects to a DIN socket on a connector-plate which can be conveniently mounted on your sim racing chassis. From there on, the connection is routed to your PC via a 3 meter USB cable.

Custom sim racing wheels don’t come cheap and the TURN Racing 488 Wheel is no exception. The wheel rim is available for €2200 + Shipping. Keep in mind that some countries might ad import duties.
