The North American Force Dynamics company has introduced its new 202 Full-Motion Simulator.
The company set out to design a compact hybrid multi-axis system using a two-actuator setup that delivers effective surge and sway while outperforming a pro-level 6DOF system.
That right, the 202 only uses two actuators to deliver the performance of a large, multi-axis system with no less than 15 inches of actuator range.
The 202’s roll center is at near head level, yielding clean, precise lateral g force cues with no unintended forces.
Near the center of travel, the two actuators working together provide vertical loads. At either end, both actuators working together move the platform forward and backward to directly cue acceleration and simultaneously tilt the platform to cue sustained acceleration.
At head level, left and right roll creates sustained g-force cues for your inner ear, while at the seat of your pants, the high roll center creates an induced sway axis delivering an instant lateral acceleration feel.
The 202 motion system offers a roll range double that of most competitors and moves through that roll range seven times faster than similarly priced competitors.
