Forza Motorsport 6 Apex – Gameplay video and in-game screenshots
The first gameplay videos and in-game screenshots of the upcoming free-to-play “Forza Motorsport 6 – Apex” Windows 10 PC version have surfaced on the web.
Forza Motorsport 6 Apex for Windows 10 will be a slimmed down version of Turn 10 Studios popular Xbox One Exclusive Forza Motorsport 6 racing title. At launch, the game will feature 12 themed racing events and will contain more than 60 car models. Players will be able to gather new vehicles via optional microtransactions or will be able to earn them by winning racing events.
In the included (leaked) video, we can have a look at the settings screens and a selection of featured car models and six tracks. Spa-Francorchamps, Brands Hatch, Sebring, Rio de Janeiro, Yas Marina Circuit, and the Top Gear Test Track. Furthermore, the video includes in-game footage of a wet weather race on the Top Gear Test Track driving the Jaguar XXR- S GT.
It was already rumored that the title will feature a DirectX12 graphics engine and that the game will support a 4k resolution. The included screenshots also confirm that the Forza Motorsport Autovista showroom mode and photo mode will be featured in the PC version.
Turn 10 Studios already confirmed that future Forza Motorsport games will be developed concurrently for PC and Xbox One and that the Forza Motorsport 6 Apex Free 2 Play PC title will become available later in the Spring of 2016.
On the bad side of things, it looks to be the case that Forza Motorsport 6 Apex will not be including Leagues, Multiplayer functionality and Steering wheel support, making this title pretty much useless for the sim racing community. Microsoft seems to market the windows 10 version of Forza Motorsport 6 Apex as a publicity teaser for its full-featured Xbox One version.
