Forza Motorsport 6 Apex – Wheel Support Test (ISRTV)
Microsoft has officially taken the Forza Motorsport 6: Apex title for Windows 10 out of open beta and added the long awaited wheel support feature.
The Forza Motorsport 6: Apex title for Windows 10 is the first step in the future of the Forza franchise as it expands into the world of PC’s. Let’s not forget the game comes free of charge for all Windows 10 users.
Back in may when the open beta for Forza 6 Apex was released, many avid racing game fans were pretty disappointed that Turn10 Studios officially stated that Forza 6 Apex would not feature wheel support. Not long after, head of Turn10 Studios Dan Greenawalt promised that Apex would get wheel support sooner or later.
So here we are. For the moment, only peripherals by Logitech and Thrustmaster are supported. It has been rumored that Fanatec product support will be added at a later date. Beyond that, it is still unclear if Turn10 Studios will expand the number of PC compatible wheel brands.
ISRTV in-house test driver, Billy Strange performs a test session to find out how good or bad the initial wheel support is implemented. Billy drives the Mini around the short Rio circuit and puts in a few wet laps at Spa-Francorchamps driving the Audi R8. Let’s find out how the Windows 10 version force feedback feel compares to the Forza Motorsport 6 console version.
