Forza Motorsport 6 E3 Gameplay Trailer
In front of hundreds of fans, Dan Greenawalt of Turn 10 and Henry Ford III officially revealed the new Forza Motorsport 6 title for the Xbox One at Microsoft’s E3 press conference.
As promised by Turn10, Forza Motorsport 6 will run in 1080p at 60fps. Forza 6 will be the biggest Forza game yet. The release version will feature over 450 cars. The cars are one by one ForzaVista cars, meaning that all models are highly detailed virtual copy’s of their real counterparts featuring fully modeled interiors and exteriors, opening doors, working cockpit gauges and working headlights.
You can race your collected machinery on no less than 26 real-world racing tracks including all the locations featured in Forza Motorsport 5. Turn10 already revealed some of the tracks that have been added to Forza 6. Rio de Janeiro, Daytona International Speedway, Watkins Glen, and Brands Hatch and a 2014 remake of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Forza motorsport 6 will feature the largest starting grid yet. You will be able to race with up to 24 players both Online and Offline. In Forza Motorsport 6 we will also see the return of split-screen racing. AI opponents will look more human than ever because Forza 6 makes use of the Xbox One Drivatar system.
The new version will also feature weather effects and night racing, making it look a lot like the recently released Project CARS by Slightly Mad Studios. But from what we have heard, that is where the comparison stops. The weather effects and night-time races will only be featured on a selection of locations and will not by dynamic. However, Forza Motorsport 6 will simulate aquaplaning across real physically simulated 3D puddles including values for friction, drag, and elasticity.
The night-time races will feature simulated tarmac temperatures that will reduce overall grip. This means that while racing at night, you will not only have to adapt your driving style because of reduced visibility, but you will also have to manage lower tire grip levels and temperatures.
The game also offers a new completely rebuilt career mode focusing on the “Stories of Motorsport.” Turn10 explained that the career mode will be good for more than 70 hours of gameplay. You will be able to unlock showcase events such as Autocross and Endurance racing. In your Forza garage, you will have to option to customize and tune you car.
Forza Motorsport 6 will be released in the US on September 15, while the Europe release is scheduled for September 18.
