Forza Motorsport 6 Porsche Expansion Available

If there is such a thing as the most wanted car brand in any racing game or simulator, it must be Porsche. Sadly enough, due to a long-standing exclusive licence deal with Porsche AG, the American Electronic Arts Inc. is keeping a tight rope around the neck of any Porsche related content. However, while the rest of the gaming developers out there have to substitute their in-game Porsche’s with RUF models, there is one company out there that is on a regular basis allowed to sub-licence a collection of Porsche AG models.

Turn 10 Studios of Forza Motorsport fame, have once more secured a sub-license to bring yet another Porsche Expansion pack to the Forza Motorsport Series. Turn 10 Studios have already released a similar pack for Forza Motorsport 4 and Forza Horizon 2. This is the third time that Turn 10 Studios succeeds in sub-licensing the famous german brand.

At the heart of the Porsche Expansion pack for Forza Motorsport 6 is the all-new Campaign, the Porsche Anthology, where players experience 60 years of innovation and performance from the famed manufacturer. Designed and curated to bring 21 legendary Porsche models to life, including nine new to Xbox One, the Porsche Anthology lets players dive deep into an amazing lineup. As the voices of the Porsche Anthology Campaign, world-renowned Porsche drivers like Hurley Haywood, Derek Bell, and Patrick Long offer their unique insights and expertise on what makes each of the cars in the Porsche Expansion so special.

The Porsche Expansion Pack addon will feature 48 new events across all the Porsche models included in the expansion. There is also a track added in the form of the Virginia International Raceway. The track includes seven layouts that are featuring both night racing and wet weather options.

Virginia International Raceway (commonly known as “VIR”) is a road course located in the community of Alton, near Danville, Virginia. VIR hosts amateur and professional automobile and motorcycle events, driving schools, club days, and private test rentals. VIR is probably one of the toughest track in the Americas. Rightfully so, drivers call it Green Hell, like the world famous Nordschleife.
