Forza Motorsport – Update 10 Deployed

Turn 10 Studios released Update 10 ( Nemesis Month) for the Forza Motorsport title on Xbox Series X|S and PC via the Microsoft Store and Steam.

This new update includes the car and event content, as well as minor improvements to Catalunya and Hockenheim, an additional wing option for 18 cars, and Replay UI changes. Furthermore, the patch adds the usual features and fixes, most notably the Car Proximity Radar. For PC players, there will now be an option to disable TAA and an updated VRAM estimator.

Update 10 introduces the Nemesis Tour alongside new events in Multiplayer and Rivals. A new Proximity Radar helps identify cars in your blind spots, making it easier to avoid unintentional collisions and keep the racing clean, especially when using cockpit, hood, or bumper cameras. You can enable and adjust options for this feature in Settings under Gameplay and HUD.

The Replay includes a new vertical driver list to more easily select the car on focus, a new track map, and HUD visibility options. In teh near future a new update will add dynamically updated race positions and data to the driver list, as well as a lap counter and new camera types.

In Featured Multiplayer, the Forza GT Series has been split into GT2 and GT3 categories to make the racing more balanced and authentic to real-world motorsport. Forza GT2 and Forza GT3 Spec Series will rotate each week during Nemesis Month. A separate Forza GT4 Spec Series will become available in the next update. Finally, the Big Country Labs aero wing has been added as a customization option for 18 cars in the game. The full list is available below under the Car Customization header.

Bug Fixes and Improvements

PC

Developer’s Note: We have fixed an issue where shift times could be slightly different based on your PC’s FPS refresh rate. The Forza Motorsport community was extremely helpful in providing data that allowed us to home in on the problem. We had an issue in our code where our shifting state machine was not being updated in our inner-most simulation update code. We moved the shifting state machine to the inner-most (high frequency) part of our update, as well as ensuring that our high-frequency update is running at a consistent frequency across various framerates on PC. We were able to run automated benchmark code to time our cars 60-150MPH at various framerates and framerate ranges – with and without the fix – to validate the problem and the fix.

  • The VRAM Estimator in PC settings has been made much more accurate. Players should review their settings after Update 9 is downloaded to verify that they’re not using too much VRAM. This is particularly true for players with GPUs that have 4-8 GB of VRAM because some settings can push usage over the limit.
  • There is now an option to disable TAA completely on PC. This option is for players who prefer to use their own form of driver-level anti-aliasing. Find the new setting in the Display tab.
  • Fixed a bug allowing players on PCs with poor performance to gain a time advantage over other players [1803862].
  • An option to enable or disable Motion Blur in cockpit view has been added to the PC settings menu. [1723433]
  • Fixed an issue where the player is unable to reboot after changing their game settings using controller or keyboard. [1762936]

  • Fixed an issue where players could bump into an invisible collision on the track.

Hockenheim

  • Fixed an issue where the collision zone for a concrete barrier was misaligned.
  • Fixed several instances of objects popping into the player’s view across various areas of the track.
  • Fixed an issue where the collision zone for a rumble strip placed shortly after the start line had a chance to egregiously lift the car in an unnatural manner. [1791639]
