Game Spotting – Drift21 Will Launch On May 7
Early 2019, we already reported about an upcoming automotive game dedicated to the art of Drifting. Conveniently named Drift19, the game by the Polish ECC Games developer was planned to be released on the PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. Somewhat later ECC Games announced a partnership with publisher PlayWay. Then things got very quiet.
Now 505 Games, who you know as the publisher of the popular Assetto Corsa titles officially announced that the drifting simulation game is renamed to Drift21, and will be launching as an Early Access title on Steam by May the 7th for $24.99/£22.49/€24.99.
Inspired by the Japanese drift racing culture, Drift21 puts you behind the wheel of some of the most popular and iconic drift cars to show off your skills at some of Japan’s legendary EBISU circuits and Drift tracks from around the world. You can choose from a range of fully licensed car models and fine-tune them right down to the smallest engine parts.
During the Early Access launch, the team at ECC Games S.A will be constantly updating and adding new features to Drift21 such as new tracks, cars, game modes (including multiplayer), and they will be refining key features based on feedback and suggestions from the community.
At launch Drift21 will offer the following:
- Car tuning garage, over 750 parts, and extensive paint shop mode.
- A practice mode that allows you to practice your drifting skills.
- More than 20 challenges in various game modes.
