GamerMuscle MC – The Truth | About The Logitech G923 TRUEFORCE
Loyal visitors of the Bsimracing website know that I am always up for a good laugh and that now and then I like to promote the somewhat less serious side of our hardcore racing hobby. So here we go…
Last week, gaming technologies and gear manufacturer Logitech announced its first new racing wheel since the introduction of the G29 and G920 five years ago. The new Logitech G923 which is compatible with the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
When the product was announced, the community feedback ranged from super positive to downright toxic due to the fact that the G 923 looks remarkably similar to its predecessors and is still using the 14-year-old design, gear mechanism, and motors, as used in the G25, G27, G29 and G920 units.
However, Logitech stated that the new G923 wheel incorporates some brand new technical features such as the new high-definition force feedback system named “TrueForce.” which dials into a game’s physics and audio engine to deliver an ultra-realistic experience.
However, when the first videos and reviews appeared on the web, it became apparent that Logitech once more recycled their trusted sim racing wheel, and came up with a new Hype word for the addition of a haptic feedback feature build into the existing wheelbase.
Our favorite sim racing Youtuber, GamerMuscle has always been a fan of the Logitech wheels and often stated that the little old steering wheel products are still a very good and durable wheel choice for beginning sim racers. However, he is not a big fan of what he calls misleading marketing and that got him worked up a little.
Members of his excellent and very amusing sim racing streaming channel, know that when the Muscleman gets upset he chills down by eighter drinking tea, or singing a song.
The latter happened and resulted in the included video.
