Following the release of the Gran Turismo 7 trailer from the PlayStation Showcase event, Sony has now shared a new Gran Turismo promo video taking us behind the scenes.
While this is officially called a “behind the scenes” video, don’t expect to find out much about the GT7 development background.
In this promo video, Polyphony Digital’s producer of the Gran Turismo video game series, Kazunori Yamauchi is mesmerizing about car culture and its relation to the Gran Turismo franchise.
Eagle-eyed Diehard fans of the GT series will be able to detect a good number of cars that are new to the GT franchise.
Besides some very interesting in-game footage of the upcoming Gran Turismo 7 title, the video also contains an interesting easter egg. When combined various scenes in the video are outlining a track layout of the popular Deep Forest Raceway track. (Screenshot below)
Deep Forest Raceway is one of the available tracks in the Gran Turismo series that first appeared in the original Gran Turismo and has been featured in every main game since, with the exception of Gran Turismo Sport.
If all goes as planned, and no additional delays are introduced, Gran Turismo 7 will launch on March 4, 2022.
