Gran Turismo – Made from Reality – Documentary

Gran Turismo series producer Kazunori Yamauchi is a huge fan of the Nürburgring 24h race in which he has participated as a racing driver. In this year’s edition of the Nürburgring 24h Kaz competed behind the wheel of the Walkenhorst Motorsport BMW M6 GT3.

It will come as no surprise that the Walkenhorst Motorsport BMW M6 GT3 will be included in the upcoming GT Sport iteration of Gran Turismo. Even better, there is a slight possibility that the public will be able to take a test drive of the BMW M6 GT3 in the GT Sport version at this year’s Gamescom in Cologne, Germany from 17 – 21 August 2016. (Keep in mind that the 17th is strictly reserved for the press and trade visitors.)

Polyphony Digital will be present at the Gamescom trade fair to promote Gran Turismo Sport. Their booth design has been inspired by the famous Caracciola-Karussell corner on the Nordschleife circuit and will feature fifteen gaming stations lined up in the shape of the iconic banked hairpin. The Walkenhorst Motorsport BMW M6 GT3 car in which Kazunori Yamauchi raced the 2016 24H will also be on display at the Polyphony Digital booth.

To promote the upcoming title and create some media hype, Polyphony Digital released a new documentary called “ Made From Reality ”. In this docu about the 44th Nürburgring 24h, we can follow Kazunori Yamauchi and his racing team during the race preparations and the battle to the checkered flag.

The “ Made From Reality ” video also confirmed that the BMW M6 GT3 will be featured in Gran Turismo Sport. During the KAZ interviews, observant viewers may notice the in-game footage of the Walkenhorst Motorsport BMW M6 GT3 at the GT Sport Nordschleife version.

GT Sport will become available for the PlayStation 4 on November 15 in North America and November 18 in Europe.
