Gran Turismo Sport August Update Deployed

Sony Interactive Entertainment and Polyphony Digital have deployed the August Update for their Gran Turismo Sport racing title on the PlayStation 4.

Update V1.25 brings us a nice list of new features, improvements, fixes, eight new cars, and a brand new circuit. The added car list features some iconic classic racers and Italian hot hatches.

New cars:

New Track – Red Bull Ring

Total Length: 4,831m. Elevation Change: 65.45m. Number of corners: 10. Longest Straight: 939m

This picturesque circuit is located Northwest of Graz, Austria. Based on the Österreichring first constructed in 1969, the Red Bull Ring was also called the A1 Ring from 1997 to 2010. It’s a high-speed circuit combining tight corners and long, fast straights, and while the course layout appears simple, it has a number of elevation changes that make it quite tricky. Surrounded by hills, the Red Bull Ring demands skill and caution, whether you’re taking on the full track or simply whipping around the short version.

New events added to GT League:

Beetle & Samba Bus Fest (Beginner League) – This event features two vehicles from the good ol’ days, the Volkswagen “Beetle” and the Samba Bus, characterized by unique designs and air-cooled flat-4 engines.

Group 3 Cup (Amateur League) – Stay focused and aim to grab the checkered flag in this intense Group 3 battle.

Nostalgic 1979 (Professional League) – This race consisting of notable historic cars will bring back the emotion and excitement of yesteryear.

Sport Mode – There is now an “Archive” section, where you can view the rankings from all Championships Seasons.
