Gran Turismo Sport Update 1.05 And FIA Championship Pre-Season Start

Polyphony Digital deployed a new update for Gran Turismo Sport bringing the title to Version 1.05.

Besides some fixes and improvements, the 600MB update mainly contains Balance of Performance adjustments. Polyphony Digital deployed the updated BOP in function of the FIA Gran Turismo Sport eSports Championship pre-season races which start today. The FIA-certified Gran Turismo Championships will be composed of two major competitions who will be held on dedicated servers:

• FIA GTNations Cup – This is a Championship Race Series in which you compete per country/region. Each player will represent their country or region in this series.
• FIA GT Manufacturer’s Series – This is a Championship Race Series in which you compete per Automobile manufacturer. Players will sign up for driver contracts with their favorite Manufacturers, and race with provided cars.

The first full season of the Gran Turismo Sport FIA championship is scheduled for April 2018.

Championship Race Test Season Hosting Overview

• For the “FIA GT Manufacturer Series”, please select a manufacturer of your choice, and sign up as their driver in the Brand Central.
• The test season will run in 1 week increments, with each season concluding in a week.Opening on Sunday every week, the series will end on Saturday. There will be no races held on Wednesdays. (*As an exception, the very first season starting on November 4 will begin on Saturday the 4th and end on Saturday the 11th.)
• Players will gain points according to their race results. The results for season 1 will be determined in an effective points system, where your total points will consist of the top 3 race results of the player, out of all the races they participated in.
• Both Championships will have identical events hosted 5 times a day. The players may only enter and participate in ONE of these races in a day.
• Please be aware that during the Test Season, there is a possibility that the Championship Schedule and Regulations may be changed at any given time.

• ABS controls have been adjusted to improve handling when braking while turning
• Traction Control management has been adjusted to improve handling when accelerating while turning

• [BGM Playlist] has been added to [Options] > [Sound Settings]. When set to [Broadcast Mode], the BGM played during broadcasting will automatically change to a suited track (Race BGM will be turned off). This can be used to upload recorded videos on video-sharing service platforms
• The steering wheel controller’s force feedback has been adjusted to strengthen the rise of torque near neutral position and suppress vibration on kerbstones.

Other improvements and adjustments

• The handling when using the DUALSHOCK4 wireless controller has been improved;- While broadcasting a game-play session, the BGM will automatically switch to a track suited for broadcasting (Race BGM will be turned off)
• The number items displayed in the Mileage Exchange for Wheels and Special Colours has been increased to a maximum of 16 items
• When purchasing a wheel in the Mileage Exchange, a list of applicable vehicles will now be displayed
• The buttons assigned to the ‘Refresh List’ and ‘Room Details’ actions in the Room Selection screen of the Lobby have been swapped around
• An ‘Online Server Status’ and ‘Maintenance and Error Information’ areas will now be displayed on the Top Screen
• Various other issues have been addressed.
