Toyota FT-1 Vision GT version in-game footage
A week ago Toyota revealed its design for Vision Gran Turismo. The reveal showed us that the car would resemble a modernised SuperGt racer. The Toyota FT-1 Vision GT is designed by Toyota’s Calty studio in California who set out to make this Toyota the ultimate racecar.
Today Toyota released a sneak peek of the special version of the Toyota FT-1 sports car on track in Gran Turismo. The SuperGT version of the original concept car will be available for Gran Turismo 6 in September.
Car Features:
- Toyota FT-1 concept enhanced as a pure racing car
- Unsurpassed styling based on research of racetracks and racecars
- Purely function-driven design aesthetics through “function-sculpting”
- Wider fenders are for wider tires to achieve an extreme grip on the track
- Enlarged air intakes for increased cooling and larger rear wing for more down force
- Canards added to the front for more down force
- Bigger rear diffuser holding multiple vertical fins and being pushed back for cleaner airflow
Polyphony Digital’s “Vision Gran Turismo” is a project in which the world’s leading brands design an original sportscar in commemoration for the 15th anniversary of Gran Turismo, as present to players of “Gran Turismo 6”.
