GRID Supported Peripheral List
Codemasters published the list of compatible controllers for their upcoming new GRID racing game for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
Codemasters promised fears racing on four continents, in different game modes such as Circuit, Street Racing, Oval, Hot Laps, Point-to-Point, and World Time Attack. You will be able to drive a variety of cars including GT’s, Touring cars, Stock Cars, Muscle Cars, Super-Modified and more. The title is scheduled for release on 11 October 2019.
Similarly to DiRT Rally 2.0, GRID allows PC players to manually set up your peripherals through the in-game options for optimum performance. Key integrations for this system include:
- Up to 15 connected devices
- Connect multiple instances of the same device
- Each connected device configuration is saved with a rolling history of 15 devices
- Each device is heavily configurable via provided XML files and in-game menus
- Common devices are known in a pre-defined device_defines.xml, fixing common issues with drivers and pre-configuring device settings
- Multiple action maps per device supported to allow for rim-swapping
- Unknown devices can be configured via in-game menus
Codemasters also made further improvements to this system, including:
- Simplified menu layout – consolidating information into one screen (Device Management)
- Displaying all devices recognized or disconnected, so you can detect faults/issues
- Ability to edit dead-zone saturation for dynamic axis, such as using an analog handbrake
- Improved calibration description and information
