With the famous words “Hello World” Founder and CEO of Straight4 Studios Ian Bell has shared an in-game work-in-progress screenshot of the upcoming GTR Revival racing simulator.
The in-engine screenshot pictures the cockpit view of what looks to be an Audi Sport R8 GT3 car racing the Brazilian circuit Autódromo José Carlos Pace circuit, better known as Interlagos.
Alongside the first WIP screenshot, Straight4 also introduced a new logo concept for the upcoming title.
If all goes as planned, the GT Revival racing simulator will become available for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. Straight4 Studios is aiming for a 2024 release.
The story so far…
Back in November of 2022, Ian Bell, co-founder of the famed SimBin modding team and later on, SimBin Studios and Slightly Mad Studios announced that he founded a new studio branding named Straight4Games or just plain Straight4.
Ian explained that the studio was recruiting former GTR and GTR2 staff members alongside some very well-known names from the industry, to work on an upcoming sim racing title currently named GTR Revival. Straight4 Studios and German-Austrian media publisher and distributor PLAION, (formerly known as Koch Media GmbH) agreed on a Strategic Partnership as developer and publisher of the upcoming GTR Revival title.
Straight4 Studios also announced a strategic partnership agreement with Reiza Studios to work on the upcoming racing sim. This new partnership did not come as a big surprise, as Reiza Studios is already a partner using the powerful Slightly Mad Studios MADNESS Game Engine for its brilliant Automobilista 2 racing simulator.
