Hardware – iRacing – Part 3 of 3 – NEC NP-V260X Input Lag Testing. |
Final part of input lag testing of NEC NP-V260X DLP projector. Here Tod clones iRacing.com to a Hanns-G HG281D monitor, a TN (twisted nematic) display known to have low input lag and fast response making it a great choice for gaming.
Frame-by-frame visual analysis of the raw MP4 file (60 fps) shows the projected and monitor image in exact synchronization. The character of frames differs as captured by the camera; I think this is owing to the color wheel of the DLP and the mechanics of how it creates images. I should also note here that I did a quick test drive (one hand on the wheel and the other on the throttle!) and this DLP displays motion spectacularly well. Test and video by Tod Bettenhausen. |
