Hardware – Part 2 of the Projectors Sim Racing Cockpit Design / Build.

This is part-2 of a videos series by Tod Bettenhausen that documents the building of a three-projector Sim Racing cockpit.

Tod begins with a look at CAD models he created of the projectors and their projected images, and show how he will be using it to design the rest of the screen frame, projector mounts, and the cockpit itself.

A final look at the CAD model and discussion about this project. All the sheet metal parts are off for fabrication. This rig should become operational within a couple of weeks.

1530-series 80/20 profile is 1.5 x 3″, not 1.5 x 3.5″ as stated in the video.
These screns are 32″ wide, not 30″ as stated in the video.
