Heusinkveld Talk & Drive 18 – Automobilista SuperTruck

Reiza Studios physics guru Niels Heusinkveld shared a Talk & Drive & Fly video showcasing the awesome Super Trucks that will be coming to your PC in Reiza Studios Automobilista.

The Automobilista SuperTruck’s are inspired by the real world Stadium Super Truck Series and with them, Reiza Studios attempted to bring some more original content to the Automobilista title. With lots of V8 noise, jumping ramps, and car physics created by Niels, this must be one of the most fun series brought to a racing simulator in the past few years.

During the talk & drive, Niels explains some of the physics development elements that went into producing the new Automobilista SuperTruck content and also explains how to best drive and jump the SuperTruck.

The real world Stadium SuperTrucks feature identically prepared high-horsepower trucks made to resemble their scaled-down radio-control-car counterparts. The versatile off-road trucks race on virtually any surface, and in 2016 will be featured at IndyCar venues, V8 Supercar races and other large events that will expose the great sport of off-road racing to the masses.

The trucks are designed to take flight. However, unlike RC trucks, they produce 600 horsepower generating speeds upwards of 130 miles per hour. Races feature man-made ramps set up in strategic locations throughout each course which allow the trucks to fly through the air nearly 20 feet off the ground and hundreds of feet down course.
