Project CARS Test Drive – Ariel Atom 500 @ Oschersleben
Darin Gangi of Inside Sim Racing presents his weekly test drive. It has been a while since Project Cars ( Community Assisted Racing Simulator) was featured in an ISR episode, and with its release getting closer it is surely worth while checking out. So after a long time Darin got some help from the Project CARS community members dialing in the Early Access version of Project CARS by Slightly Mad Studios. For this test he does 3 laps in the Ariel Atom 500 on the German Oschersleben Motorsports Arena track.
During this test run, Darin provides us with his personal view on the look and feel of the work in progress. Because its hard to record a triple screen Project CARS using nVidia Shadow Play in full fidelity, Darin uses a shoulder cam to capture the footage while racing. Next weeks Inside Sim Racing Test Drive will be DTM Experience by the Simbin.
In this Project Cars test drive Darin is using the new Fanatec SQ version of the ClubSport Shifter. A full test of the product is coming up in the near furture.

Slightly Mad Studios was the first racing game project with funding raised by its own community and its developers, without the financial aid of a traditional publisher. by purchasing various Tool Packs, WMD members could contribute to the development. WMD Members have different access levels, depending on the tool pack they purchased. When the game is released, Project CARS members will receive a share of game sales profits generated within the first 2 years after launch. Take note that at this stage of development, It is no longer possible to become a Project CARS community member.
Project CARS was originally due for release on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, but on 6 November 2013, Slightly Mad Studios announced that it canceled the release for these consoles. Project CARS will effectively be released on PC, XBONE, PlayStation 4, Steam OS and WiiU systems somewhere around November 2014.
