Introducing The Symdeck RC1000 Racing Cockpit

These days, sim racers have plenty of choices when it comes to sim racing cockpits. There is a product out there for just about any budget. One of the younger and slightly lesser known names in the business is the British Symdeck brand based in Burton on Trent, Staffordshire, UK.

Symdeck markets the rather good looking and highly functional RC1000 racing cockpit. The powder-coated aluminum constructed frame is extremely rigid. While only weighing in at 30kg, the frame is strong enough to supports hi-power peripherals such as direct drive wheels and loadcell pedals. Needless to say, the cockpit is compatible with most of the peripherals from well-known brands such as Thrustmaster, Logitech, Fanatec, and more.

The Symdeck RC1000 is highly adjustable featuring a Wheel mount with quick release runner for reach and hand adjustable height positioning. The seat frame can be adjusted in the same manner, enabling you to easily set the height and rake position. (A second forward seat mounting position makes it also suitable for children.) Furthermore, the pedals can be mounted in various positions on the plate, which on its turn is mounted to a hand adjustable slider letting you easily change the reach and rake position of the pedals.

For those who want to mount a screen without using an external screen stand, Symdeck included a removable screen bracket that accommodates displays up to 40″. To ensure a functional, comfortable, and visually pleasing experience, the RC1000 is supplied with a quality Corbeau Club Sport bucket seat as standard.

When talking esthetics, we want to point out that the cockpit frame incorporates numerous cable tie anchor points letting you manage your cables in a visually pleasing manner. While the RC1000 cockpit is equipped with a fairly big list of features, it is nice to see that it requires minimal assembly. ( As seen in the video)
