iRacing allready confirmed that the Audi R8 LMS Evo II will become available alongside the release of the 2024 Season 1 build, adding another racecar of the German brand to the existing Audi line-up including the older Audi R8 LMS GT3, the Audi RS 3 LMS, the Audi R18 LMP1, and the classic Audi 90 GTO.

Now iRacing published a new promo video, showcasing the Audi R8 LMS Evo II in action on the iRacing online racing platform. The car will be added to the already existing Audi line-up joining the older Audi R8 LMS GT3, the Audi RS 3 LMS, the Audi R18 LMP1, and the classic Audi 90 GTO.

The Audi R8 LMS Evo II is a high-performance race car that was introduced in 2022. It is the second evolution of the Audi R8 LMS GT3, and it features a number of improvements over its predecessor with a new chassis that is designed to be stiffer and lighter. This helps to improve the car’s handling and performance.

It featured a new aerodynamic package that is designed to improve downforce and reduce drag. This includes a new front splitter, rear diffuser, and rear wing. The car also has a new underbody design that helps to generate more downforce. Furthermore, Audi designed a new traction control system, and climate control system to keep the driver comfortable in all conditions.

The car is powered by a 5.5-liter V10 engine that produces up to 585 horsepower. The engine has been revised to improve its torque characteristics and make it more reliable.

The R8 LMS Evo II showed its pace quickly in its first season, continuing a long line of successes for R8 LMS GT3 entries around the world. Highlights included three of the four fastest laps in qualifying for the Bathurst 12 Hour and continuing the brand’s long record of success in DTM by earning the 2022 manufacturer’s title with three race wins. The car remained ubiquitous toward the front of the pack in both sprint and endurance GT3 series around the world for the 2023 season.
