iRacing – Dirt Late Model at Eldora Video
Over the last few months, iRacing already showed us a selection of Dirt related work in progress screens. Most of those teaser publications showcased car models such as the Dirt Late Model, Winged Dirt Sprint Car, Dirt World Trucks, and Dirt Street Stock car.
Today iRacing released the first DIRT promotion video showing us some work in progress footage of the Dirt Late Model at the Eldora Motor Speedway.
The dev team stated that the DIRT track physics, art, and track dynamics systems will all work together in real-time, resulting in a very dynamic and realistic track environment. Just as in the real world, the loose dirt that is thrown up by the tires will develop a groove and accumulate into a dirt wall. This will result in a constantly changing track based on the real-time racing action taking place.
At this time, iRacing did not yet set an official release date, but we should see the first Dirt content appear in the very near future.
The Eldora Speedway is a legendary half-mile clay oval located near New Weston, Ohio is regarded the home of The Biggest Dirt Races In The World. In 1954, the track was constructed as a quarter-mile oval but was altered 4 years later to the present half-mile length. It hosts such races as “The Kings Royal”, “The Dirt Late Model Dream”, “Chevrolet American Revolution Weekend” , “Eldora at Eldora Speedway”, and “The World 100.”
