Alongside the Ford Mustang GT3 , iRacing will also bring the GTD Pro Corvette Z06 GT3.R to the online racing service on June 3rd. To get the fans excited for this season 3 release, iRacing now posted a preview of the American GT3 weapon in action on the track.

As the successor of the Corvette C8.R, the Pratt Miller Motorsports GTD Pro Corvette Z06 GT3.R is a race car built for the 2024 season of the GTD Pro category of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and the LMGT3 class of the FIA World Endurance Championship.

The Z06 GT3.R is designed and built by Pratt Miller Engineering and Chevrolet. The car is powered by a 5.5L, flat plane crankshaft DOHC V-8 engine derived from the production Z06.

The 5.5L powerplant shares more than 70 percent of its parts with the production Z06 engine, including the crankshaft, connecting rods, cylinder heads, fuel injectors, coils, gaskets, and a variety of other sensors. The engine produces 500–600 hp (373–447 kW) @ 7,400 rpm, and transfers that power to the rear wheels via a Xtrac P529 6-speed sequential gearbox.
