iRacing – Indy Pro 2000 And US F2000 Video
At the beginning of April, iRacing announced that the Indy Pro 2000 and US F2000 open-wheelers would become available for their online racing platform.
We already had the opportunity to admire some in-game screenshots of the upcoming single-seaters, but now we can finally check out the cars in action, as iRacing has published a new teaser video showcasing both the Indy Pro 2000 and US F2000 cars on track.
Both the Indy Pro 2000 And US F2000 cars have been scheduled for June 2020 as part of the 2020 Season 3 release. By that time iRacing will also add short ovals to the racing service to better replicate the real-world Road to Indy ladder.
Utilizing the same chassis, the Tatuus USF17 and Tatuus PM18 represent the first two steps in the Road to Indy program. After conquering the USF17 in US F2000 action, drivers get to play with 100 more horsepower, more aerodynamic options, and larger tires with the PM18 in Indy Pro 2000.
The Indy Pro 2000 will replace the former Pro Mazda car at the C-class license level open setup series. The US F2000 will be used in the fixed setup Formula Sprint races (D-class license) replacing the Dallara F3 which will stay active in its own C-class license competition.
Future seasons at both levels will see the addition of a couple of short ovals run in real life to more closely replicate the real-world Road to Indy ladder. (looking at you IRP)
