Let’s continue our look at the currently deploying 2022 Season 1 Build for the iRacing online racing platform.
The new build also adds Scotland’s premier motorsports venue to the iRacing online racing service.
The Knockhill Racing Circuit is a permanent racing venue in Fife, Scotland. It opened in September 1974 and is Scotland’s national motorsport center. The circuit is located in the countryside about 10 km north of Dunfermline.
Knockhill is Scotland’s only accredited FIA and MSA-approved venue. It became known in 1992 when the prestigious British Touring Car Championship visited for the first time, with the British Superbikes soon following. Both categories have remained as mainstays of a busy schedule which also includes corporate events, test, and track days.
Furthermore, the new update also introduces a virtual version of the Porsche Experience Center situated at the German Hockenheimring racing circuit, a complete remake of the Watkins Glen International circuit, both the Hyundai Elantra N TC and Honda Civic Type R Touring Cars, and the star of this build, the Mercedes-AMG F1 W12 E Performance Formula 1 car.
