The iRacing 2024 Season 4 is almost upon us, introducing a batch of new exciting content.
One of the new cars in the lineup is the BMW M4 GT4 Evo which will replace the current 2018 F82 variant of the car in the main GT4 series.
iRacers who own the former BMW M4 GT4 will receive credits if they purchased it within the last year. The extent of the credits will be determined by the recency of the purchase.
Iracing will be reformatting the BMW M Power Tour to run as a single-make series using the new GT4 Evo at the D Level. The former BMW M4 GT4 (F82) will be added to some existing series, continuing its official support.
BMW M4 GT4 Evo
The BMW M4 GT4 EVO is a high-performance racing car designed for GT4 class competition.
It is based on the road-going BMW M4 and features a number of modifications to make it suitable for racing, such as a more powerful engine, a more aerodynamic body, and a stiffer suspension.
In comparison to its predecessor, the M4 Evo features Improved traction control, a new front splitter with improved mounting concept, better robustness in endurance races, new LED headlights and rear lights, and more.
The car is powered by an S58 3.0 six-cylinder in-line engine M TwinPower Turbo technology. The engine delivers 518 hp. (adjustable to BoP requirements)
From 2025, the BMW M4 GT4 EVO will compete in the GT4 class, aimed at newcomers, amateurs, and professionals alike in series around the world such as the Nordschleife racing series NLS, the GT4 European Series, the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge, the ADAC GT4 Germany, the British GT Championship, the GT4 America series, and many more.
