iRacing – New Daytona International Speedway Chicane In-Game

Ahead of the NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series doubleheader on Sunday, August 16, NASCAR and Daytona International Speedway announced that they have implemented a new chicane at the exit of the NASCAR turn four. This could result in more competitive racing, as the new chicane will give the drivers a final shot to make a pass coming to the famed finish line.

On the same day as the official chicane announcement, iRacing informed its members that the development team already acquired accurate scan data and maps/telemetry to re-create the newly added chicane and that they would bring the new layout to the iRacing service #soon.

Sooner as expected the new Daytona International Speedway road course chicane is now available on iRacing, The chicane is available as an additional Daytona track layout as ‘NASCAR Road’.
