iRacing Nordschleife Development introduction

Back in September 2014 iRacing.com announced that they were going to start work on a laser-scanned version of the Nürburgring Nordschleife.

In this video, Director of Marketing Kevin Bobbitt and Executive Vice President Steve Myers, share some behind-the-scenes development info while VP of Art and Production Greg Hill shows us the laser scan data they collected during their week-long development trip to Germany.

Furthermore, the video grants us a sneak peek of some very early gameplay footage. The iRacing track version will feature the Nordschleife, Nürburgring GP, and the combined circuit.

The development team estimates that the iRacing Nordschleife will be released somewhere during Fall 2015.

Next to Assetto Corsa by Kunos Simulazioni, and RaceRoom Racing Experience by Sector3 Studios, the iRacing Nordschleife will be the third laser scanned version to appear in a sim racing product.
