iRacing Nordschleife VLN layout in the Mazda MX-5
One more day before iRacing releases the iconic Nurburgring Nordschleife track for their online racing service.
Dale Lomas who is an expert on all things Nürburgring drives two laps on the virtual iRacing Nürburgring VLN course in a Mazda MX-5. The VLN layout makes use of the short GP track and Nordschleife combined in one huge track, as used for the VLN Endurance Championship and the Nurburgring 24H.
In real life, Dale runs the popular bridgetogantry.com website and drives the Ring Taxi on a regular basis. This is making him the perfect person to test the virtual version of the ring. During his Talk & Drive session, Dale shares his personal impressions and shares some background information and tips.
An interesting detail is the fact that the video footage is not captured from Dale’s home racing rig but from a laptop, showing us once more that iRacing is correctly optimised to run on a wide spectrum of computer systems.
The Nurburgring Gp circuit and Nordschleife content for iRacing will be available on December 8th. The tracks will be made available separately. So to drive this VLN layout, you will need to purchase both the GP and Nordschleife content.
