Back in September, at the FIA GT event at the Nürburgring, iRacing.com announced that they would start work on a virtual version of the most famous track on earth.

Today, iRacing posted a first set of screenshots showing us some laser-scan data material of their upcoming Nürburgring Nordschleife project.  iRacing is known for its high-quality laser scanned tracks, so we are convinced that the iRacing Nordschleife project will eventually become a virtual beauty.

Assetto Corsa by Kunos Simulazioni, and RaceRoom Racing Experience by Sector3 Studios will also feature a laser scanned version of the track. With three platforms releasing the most wanted sim track on earth, the “year of plenty” continues. 2015 will be an awesome year for sim racing.
