Le Mans Circuit de la Sarthe coming to iRacing
iRacing.com announced that the legendary Circuit de la Sarthe will become part of the iRacing online racing simulation platform and that development is already underway.
The world most famous online motorsports simulation service signed an agreement with the Automobile Club de l’Ouest to develop a digital version of the most famous racing track in the world. Just before the 83rd running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, a team of iRacing laser scanning technicians, photographers, and artists visited the completed the Circuit de la Sarthe and successfully completed their data-gathering sessions.
It is reported that the iRacing development team has already started work on the laser scanned virtual Le Mans version.

Le Mans will be a perfect marriage with this new endurance racing feature along with some of the world’s finest prototypes and GTs. So it’s fitting the more than 60,000 iRacers around the world will have the chance to race from the Dunlop Curve to Tertre Rouge and Mulsanne through to Indianapolis and Arnage, the Porsche Curves and Ford Chicane.”
