Miami Florida-based Game developer, publisher, and eSports ecosystem provider Motorsport Games officially confirmed that the iconic Ferrari 499P Hypercar will be part of the upcoming Le Mans Ultimate endurance racing game/simulator in development by Studio 397.
While today only a Ferrari 499P tribute video was published, Motorsport Games stated to share gameplay footage of the car as soon as tomorrow.
The Ferrari 499P Hypercar is a high-performance racing car developed by Scuderia Ferrari to compete in the FIA World Endurance Championship’s Le Mans Hypercar category. It made its debut in 2023 and has quickly established itself as one of the most formidable contenders in the series.
The Hypercar is a sleek and aerodynamic machine that embodies Ferrari’s design philosophy. Its bodywork is sculpted to minimize drag and maximize downforce, while its aggressive lines and eye-catching livery exude a sense of raw power and speed. Powering the 499P is a hybrid powertrain that combines a powerful V6 internal combustion engine with an electric motor. The system produces over 1,000 horsepower, allowing the car to reach a top speed of over 300 kilometers per hour (186 miles per hour) and accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour (62 miles per hour) in just 2.5 seconds.
The Ferrari 499P Hypercar has already achieved remarkable success in its short career. In 2023, it secured a dominant victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, marking Ferrari’s first overall win at the prestigious race in 50 years. The car has also claimed podium finishes at other WEC events, demonstrating its ability to compete at the highest level.
Le Mans Ultimate will feature (some or all) official cars and circuits of the 2023 FIA World Endurance Championship WEC season, with the 24 Hours of Le Mans as its headline event. The cars list will consist of Hypercars from Ferrari, Peugeot, Porsche, and Toyota, alongside all the cars of the 2023 full-season WEC championship. You can expect high-fidelity models of iconic tracks such as Spa-Francorchamps, Monza, Fuji, and of course the Circuit de la Sarthe.
Initially scheduled to become available on PC somewhere in December 2023, the release date, was pushed back to 20 February 2024. Motorsport Games will later on evaluate a possible console release in 2024.
