Recently, Studio 397 officially announced that they will add two new cars to the the rFactor 2 racing simulator, in the form of the Cadillac DPi-V.R and the Corvette C8.R.
But now there is more good news. Studio 397 has revealed a third car that will be added to the list. During the rF2 GT Pro Series broadcast, Studio 397 has teased, and now confirmed that the 2020 Ligier JS P217 LMP2 car will become available #soon.
At the time of writing, there was no high-res media available, but the teaser GIF and Video grab, should give you a good idea of what to expect.
The Ligier JS P217 is one of the four LMP2 chassis homologated by the ACO, the FIA and IMSA complying with the regulations that came into force in 2017. In compliance with the latter, the Ligier JS P217 is powered by the 4.2-litre V8 Gibson engine that puts out 600 bhp and is equipped with the electronic systems supplied by Cosworth Electronics.
Since 2017, it is eligible for the FIA WEC, the IMSA WeatherTech Championship, the ELMS and the Le Mans 24 Hours.
