Mixed Reality VR by Marcel Pfister – Porsche at Vallelunga

Back in November last year, Kunos Simulazioni, the developers of Assetto Corsa organized an event at the Italian Vallelunga Circuit to celebrate their official partnership with Porsche AG.

Among a selection of press people from the automotive and gaming industry, Kunos Simulazioni also invited YouTuber Marcel Pfister who you may know from the popular Mixed Reality VR videos.

Marcel had the chance to meet the team behind Assetto Corsa as well as the Porsche staff and was given the chance to drive a real Porsche Carrera S as a tribute to his positive contributions to the sim racing community. This way, Marcel could compare both the real and the virtual Porsche 911 Carrera S resulting in a new Mixed Reality video.

Marcel creatively uses his Oculus Rift VR headset and a greenscreen to blend in the virtual with the real world, resulting in some rather spectacular videos. When Marcel published his first video, it became an instant viral YouTube hit within the sim racing community.
