It seems that Thrustmaster continues its teasing campaign hinting that a new product is close to being revealed.
A recent Tweet shows us a T-Turbo logo and the text “400-watts peak power out of the box”.
While in good Thrustmaster fashion the letter T clearly points to a new wheelbase, the added text is somewhat confusing. The now somewhat older Thrustmaster T-GT and TS-PC RACER wheels already used the “400-watts peak power” sales pitch referring to the Turbocharger shaped power supply that delivered a peak power output of 400 Watts.
Nevertheless, the Tweet was accompanied by a “#BackIICompete” Hashtag which led me to believe this implies that Thrustmaster is ready to take some competition to Fanatec after their game-changing CSL DD wheelbase unveiling. Furthermore, the Hashtag also reveals that the two red lines used in the previous teaser messages are actually representing the number 2.
So does this mean that Thrustmaster is going to reveal a follow-up for the T-GT, and will it be a Direct Drive wheel that can go head to head with the Fanatec CSL DD?
For now, your guess is as good as mine. For the real answer, we will have to wait until June 23, when Thrustmaster officially reveals what they have cooking.
