As expected, the new MotoGP 22 racing game will feature the fully licensed official 2022 MotoGP season, including more than 120 official riders, and more than 20 tracks of the official MotoGP, Moto2, and Moto3 racing roster. Furthermore, players will be able to relive some MotoGP history with more than 70 historical riders all famed for their exciting racing careers.
Besides the regular content, MotoGP 22 also adds a list of new features to the game.
MotoGP 22 features enhanced track surfaces and an updated physics engine. Tire wear, fuel consumption, and brake temperatures are now affected by the slipstream, while the new Ride Height Device (RHD) feature lets you control the suspensions to lower the Center of Gravity and with it increase acceleration. Milestone also introduces tire deformation, resulting in a more realistic tire behavior.
Furthermore, the new game brings us new animations, enhanced 3D models, and overall visual improvements. Thanks to no less than 5 powerful graphic editors you will be able to customize various elements of the game from the bike liveries to the suits of the riders.
The MotoGP Academy is a revised adaptive tutorial system that will let players learn to ride the bikes via dedicated sessions in order to refine their riding style and learn all the tricks to be as fast as possible.
The Managerial Career is back, improved, and enhanced, to let you take full control of your gaming experience. Create your own team or join an official one, choose your staff and develop your bike. You can also create a Junior Team in Moto2 and Moto3: hire a team manager, a technical director, and a rider and start your path to the championship.
In the brand-new Nine Season 2009 game mode, players can step in the boots of legends such as Rossi, Lorenzo, Stoner, and Pedrosa at the peak of their careers, and relive one of the most exciting and iconic championships in MotoGP history. The game features over 50 minutes of real footage narrated by Mark Neale, director of the best MotoGP documentaries, with 17 Chapters, one for each Grand Prix of the 2009 season.
Last but not least, MotoGP 22 does support a two-player split-screen, and an online multiplayer mode that features limited cross-play support on consoles from different generations, meaning PS5 and PS4 players, or Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S players can race against each other.
Note: Split screen will not be available on the Nintendo Switch.
