Moza Racing Introduced The mBooster Active Pedal
Moza mBooster Active Pedal

Many sim racers will undoubtedly have heard about the amazing, yet very expensive ActivePedal by Simucube which commercially pioneered the Active Pedal idea, and proved a game-changer when it comes to sim racing pedal setups. However, the price range also proved too steep for many out there.

But there is hope for a more affordable solution.

Following the recent introduction of the new Moza Racing – Porsche Mission R Steering Wheel, the Chinese Moza brand has now revealed its own version of the Active Pedal technology with its new Moza mBooster Active Pedal.

Different from traditional pedals with passive feedback, an active force feedback system, composed of motors and ball screws, provides a strong force and rebound based on telemetry inputs, and can therefore simulate various pedal feels, simulating a wide range of brake pedal scenarios.

Moza mBooster Active Pedal

The mBooster Active Pedal features a high-precision ball screw, segmented High torque density servo motor, and a closed, rail-free design to effectively reduce operational friction. The use of lightweight materials results in better performance, and a smaller installation size The pedals operate quietly and smoothly with noise levels as low as 44dB.

The pedal is fitted with dual 200KG pressure sensors, accurately detecting pedal force from 0 to 400KG with zero dead zones for smooth and responsive performance simulating different brake scenarios..

The sensor fusion algorithm combines 15-bit angle sensors with dual pressure sensors to ensure high-precision braking input and accurate brake force output.

Moza mBooster connection

The mBooster pedal is seamlessly compatible with the Moza CRP2 pedals, offering versatile and enhanced performance.

It connects directly to a PC via USB making it compatible with almost all branded bases, and it fully supports MOZA’s lineup via connection ports for Throttle, Clutch, and Moza Wheelbase. Furthermore, the pedal houses a connection for the needed Power Adapter.

MOZA Pit House software

Utilizing MOZA’s proprietary telemetry database enhances the force feedback of the pedals delivering a more precise ABS feedback during braking, better dynamic throttle feedback for traction control, detailed vehicle vibrations, gearshift impacts, and G-force effects.

The effects are customizable by use of the MOZA Pit House software. The software offers one-click presets, but also enables the user to daily in precision settings quickly without the need to adjust mechanical structures. You can effortlessly fine-tune basic pedal performance and advanced dynamic feedback settings for the pedals, such as:

  • Adjustable Rebound, Stroke, Damping and Friction
  • ABS
  • TC
  • Engine vibration
  • Vehicle body vibration (HI)
  • Gear shift impact
  • G-force

The release date or pricing details for the mBooster Active Pedal have not yet been shared. I will keep you updated when more details are available.
