Back in May, the French Nacon video game company formerly known as Bigben Interactive, announced they had established a new department dedicated to Racing, introducing the new Revosim brand.

Now during the ongoing Gamescom trade fair in Germany, the company introduces its first products for the simulation hardware market in the form of a new Direct Drive wheelbase, a GT steering wheel, and a load cell Pedal Set, all defined as the Revosim “Pure” range.

RS Pure Direct Drive Wheelbase:

The company’s first wheel product will be a 9Nm peak Direct Drive wheelbase with a Brushless Servo Motor, that is closely resembling a Fanated DD unit, with T-slots on the sides, top, and bottom to easily mount the wheelbase, or mount peripherals to the unit. For those not able to hard-mount the wheelbase to a rig, the product will include a desk mount.

NACON also designed a Smartphone holder for the wheelbase and developed a mobile app that can be used to display telemetry data and dial in the wheel settings.

Wheel Rim:

Alongside the wheelbase, NACON will release a 300mm round GT wheel built around an aluminum frame and rim wrapped with a leather-like foam.

From what we can see on the early images of the product, the wheel rim is fitted with a molded plastic controller hub that houses 12 push buttons, a 2-position encoder, and a 7-position rotary switch. Furthermore, the wheel features a LED Rev bar, and 4 Mode LEDs.

The rear of the wheel is fitted with (Micro-Switch) shifter paddles, and a ball-locking Quick-Release system, closely resembling a Simagic unit.

Pedal Set:

The base 2-pedal set is made out of aluminum and features a Magnetic Hall Sensor throttle pedal and 100kg loadcell brake pedal. The setup comes with three different elastomers to adjust the firmness. The pedal plates are angle adjustable.

The pedal set can be connected straight to a PC via USB, or to the Revosim wheelbase via an Rj11 connector. In the near future Nacon will introduce a 3-pedal setup or an optional clutch pedal.

At the introduction, the Revosim Wheelbase, Wheel Rim, and Pedal set will be PC only. However, NACON has not ruled out future Console support.

The Revosim wheelbase, Wheel Rim, and Pedals are scheduled to become available before the end of 2024. An official price has not yet been communicated. I will keep you updated when more details are shared.
