New Logitech G 923 TrueForce Wheel For PC | PlayStation | Xbox Announced

Gaming technologies and gear manufacturer Logitech just announced its first new racing wheel since the introduction of the G29 and G920 five years ago. The new Logitech G923 is compatible with the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

Fans of the previous Logitech wheel series will instantly notice that the G 923 looks very similar to its predecessor. However, Logitech states that the G923 incorporates new features such as the new high-definition force feedback system named “TrueForce.” that dials into a game’s physics and audio engine to deliver an ultra-realistic experience.

Apparently, the motors and the gear mechanisms utilized for G 923 are the same as the ones from the older G29 and G920 units.

 

“For the last few years, we’ve been working with sim drivers, and professional race car drivers to develop a full-featured, realistic driving experience like no other,” said Ujesh Desai, general manager at Logitech G. “With TRUEFORCE you really get to feel the road, along with all the subtle features of the race car. It truly elevates the experience, and everyone we’ve had try it always walks away with a smile!”

 

More features include:

• upgraded internal electronics to handle the new FFB system, registering the wheels inputs 4,000 times per second.
• Programmable Dual Clutch Launch Controls – allows racers to get off the line cleaner and faster with a programmable dual-clutch that facilitates maximum traction and minimum smoke.
• Built-In Rev Indicator – built-in colored LED lights indicate your RPM range, alerting the racer when they’re hitting redline.
• On-Wheel Game Controls – game controls for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5* consoles integrated into the steering wheel for total control at your fingertips.
• Progressive Brake Pedals – featuring a new progressive spring for a more responsive feel, the new brake pedal responsiveness adds more realism and control.
• 24-Point Selection Dial – built-in selection dial allows the racer to adjust traction, torque, automatic stability management, brake force, and more.

 

It is also reported that the Logitech G923 is compatible with the new upcoming Xbox Series X console.

The Logitech G923 Racing Wheel and Pedals will work with PlayStation 4 and PC when it launches in America and Europe in August 2020. The G923 is part of the official licensing program for PlayStation and will therefore also work with new PlayStation 5 when the console launches later in the year. ( Still awaiting final product approval)
