Oculus Rift CV1 VR Headset Review by ISRTV

Darin Gangi and John Sabol from Inside Sim Racing present their review of the Oculus Rift CV1 VR headset for sim racing.

The Oculus Rift DK1 and DK2 started what should become a revolution in the way we race a simulator. On March 28, 2016, Oculus released the improved Rift Consumer Version. While you might have seen numerous videos and reviews of the product, current Rift owners all claim you really do have to experience it to fully appreciate it.

The CV1 VR headset features two OLED displays with a combined resolution of 2160 x 1200 displaying at a 90 Hz refresh rate. The VR headset also houses an accelerometer, gyroscope, and magnetometer. Movements are tracked by a 360-degree headset tracking unit via a Constellation IR camera. These are all exciting specs, but does VR deliver in a sim racing environment?

To find the truth, Darin and John strap on the Rift and take the VR headset to the virtual track.
