One of the most impressive features of Project CARS by Slightly Mad Studios is the day to night cycle. When we combine that with the dynamic weather features we have a perfect recipe for 24 hour racing.

To let us all have a look at the current state of the dynamic features, Yorkie065 created a quality video showing us a (Build 939) Project CARS Day to Night cycle along with weather changes. Watch the track get wet, and dry up while transforming from day to night, sunshine to torrential rain. The Madness gaming engine seems to handle it all.

The Project CARS dynamic weather features are not just graphical eye-candy but will have an impact on the driving conditions. When the temperatures change and the weather deteriorates, both car and track physics will dynamically change while the visibility will be reduced by rainfall and spray.

Not bad for a title that has been labeled A….. by many community members out there.

Project CARS will become available on April 2 for the PC, Sony PlayStation 4, WiiU and Microsoft Xbox One. For the PC, Project CARS will be released as a boxed retail version and as a digital download on the Steam platform.
