Project CARS 3 Gameplay Video – 2019 Porsche 935 @ Leipzig Circuit
Slightly Mad Studios published a brand new gameplay preview video of their upcoming Project CARS 3 racing title, showcasing the 2019 Porsche 935 Tribute car doing a lap on the Porsche Leipzig circuit.
Building on the success of the previous games in the series, British developer Slightly Mad Studios, and publisher Bandai-Namco will release Project CARS 3 on August 28 for the PC (via Steam), Playstation 4, and Xbox One.
Porsche 935
Back in 2018, at the Laguna Seca Raceway Rennsport Reunion VI, Porsche AG unveiled the new 935-look track day car as a tribute to the legendary Porsche 935/78 Le Mans race car which fans dubbed “Moby Dick” due to its elongated shape, massive fairings, and the white base color. The technical side of the new Porsche 935 is based on the 911 GT2 RS high-performance sports car.
The new 935 is powered by a 3,800 cc water-cooled 6-cylinder aluminum twin-turbo rear-mounted boxer engine that delivers up to 700 hp. All that power is transferred to the rear wheels via a 7-speed PDK gearbox and a limited-slip differential optimized for racing.
You can consider the new non-homologated Porsche 935 an exclusive toy for the very rich as the limited number of 77 units produced were sold with a price tag of €701,948 plus country-specific VAT.
Leipzig Circuit
The 3.7 km Leipzig Circuit is an extraordinary FIA-certified race track designed by Hermann Tilke on the grounds of the Porsche plant in Leipzig Germany. The track combines a copy of eleven of the most demanding sections of racing tracks around the world.
Project CARS 3
While Project CARS 3 will inherit a lot of features from its predecessors, the newborn racing title will also stray from the given pad to better accommodate “pick up and play” gamers. Whether this is a good or a bad thing has yet to be seen, but as far as visuals go, we can already be certain that it’s going to be a beauty.
The game will feature more than 200 elite-brand road and race cars which are all upgradable and customizable. You will be able to race your personalized cars both offline and online on about 140 circuits from all over the world. The tracks will feature day to night transitions and dynamic weather effects.
Pcars 3 will feature a brand new career mode and a new Rivals mode in which you will encounter 10 upgradeable car classes. Furthermore, we can expect new tracks, improved multiplayer features, completely revised gamepad handling for console players, skill-based matchmaking, and better accessibility for new players.
Also new to the franchise is a deeply engaging metagame that challenges players to race hard and earn in-game Credits with which to buy and own hundreds of cars from the world’s most elite brands and race them all on dynamic and spectacular circuits around the globe featuring stunning all-weather, all-seasons conditions.
Race-won Credits and XP will also entice players to buy authentic performance upgrades and customization options for their stable of exclusive cars, including wheels, tyres, body kits, rims, as well as personalization options to create their own racing hero personas.
