Project CARS – Machine Dojo Modding team Dev Update
The Machine Dojo Modding team still has some exciting Project CARS modding projects in the works, and now shared some more info and screenshots to keep us in the know.
Citroen GT-LM Concept
The team reports good progress on the Citroen GT-LM Concept car, as shown in the top screenshot.
Yatsu, who is one of the teams talented modelers, has most 3D work covered and finished baking the AO. (Ambient occlusion is a method to approximate how bright light should be shining on any specific part of a surface, based on the light and it’s environment. This is used to add realism.) This design is a fictional creative vision of a futuristic racer much like the Vision Gran Turismo cars for GT6.
More in-game screenshots soon.
Porsche 918 Spyder
Team members Robillard3381, LamboMantisMan23, and Didouc are working a Porsche 918 Spyder model. This virtual version of the German super sports car will feature all of the official Project CARS specifications such as LODs, Damage model, Ambient occlusion and more.
The supplied preview screenshots, show us that the work on the 918 Spyder is shaping up just fine. The car is already fully textured and features a very detailed cockpit model.
FIA GT1 Mod
The already famous FIA GT1 Pack mod for Project CARS also received an update bringing the mod to version 1.12. The current GT1 car pack contains the updated versions of the Lamborghini Murcielago R-SV GT1, Nissan GT-R GT1 and Maserati MC12 GT1. The team points out that the included preview screenshot does not yet represent the release quality visuals due to the lack of Ambient occlusion.
