2004 TVR Tuscan T400R
The TVR Tuscan T400R was a purpose-built GT race car developed by the British manufacturer TVR. It evolved from the successful Tuscan Challenge race series and TVR’s ambition to compete at Le Mans.
The Tuscan T400R project spanned from around 2000 to 2004. The car was designed for GT racing, competing in the N-GT (later GT2) category of various championships, including the British GT Championship and the Le Mans Series. Only 7 racing chassis were ever built, making it a very rare car. A very limited number were also intended as road cars.
The car was powered by a Front-mid 3,996 cc (4.0 liters) TVR Speed Six, naturally aspirated straight-6 engine that delivered 400 bhp (298 kW) at 7,000 rpm. All that power was transferred to the rear wheels via a 6-speed sequential gearbox.
