Gillet Vertigo

Gillet is a Belgian automobile manufacturer founded by former racing driver Tony Gillet. First revealed in 1992, the company developed both a road-going and racing version of the Gillet Verigo supercar.

A key feature is its lightweight construction, achieved through the use of carbon fiber and honeycomb materials in the chassis. The initial design evolved over the years, with changes to the bodywork and aerodynamics.

Through its different iterations, the car has been powered by a number of different engines such as a Ford Cosworth 2.0-liter 4-cylinder, Alfa Romeo V6 engines, and Ferrari/Maserati V8 engines.

The Gillet Vertigo has competed in various racing series, including the Belcar (Belgian GT Championship), the FIA GT Championship, and the famous 24 Hours of Spa.

The race version of the Gillet Vertigo made its debut in 1999 and had the engine tuned to an impressive 394 HP. In 2002, the Vertigo race car’s engine was replaced with a 3.8-liter V-6 boasting a monstrous 897 HP. Its entry into the FIA GT series, where it saw major success, began in 2005.

Project Motor Racing is scheduled to become available in 2025. You can check out some more GTRevival / Project Motor Racing news Here.
