PROTOSIMTECH PT-1 Sim Racing Pedals
The last few months we have seen an increasing new line of PC compatible Pro Sim Racing pedal sets appear on the niche Sim Racing market. One of the brands that have unveiled their latest product is the Virginia based ProtoSimTech.
Christopher Smith, Co-Founder of ProtoSimTech, has been hard at work designing, building, testing, and making critical changes to their first sim racing product, for the past two years.
A few days ago ProtoSimTech officially unveiled the PT-1 high end pedal set. The first thing you will notice is its price. The 2 pedal Throttle and Brake unit retails for $319 + shipping while the three Pedal Throttle, Brake, and Clutch set will set you back $379 + shipping. Keeping the quality in mind, it can be said that this pedal set appears to be great value for money.
The brake pedal features a 50kg load cell, which can be adjusted for a lighter or heavier force, and 4096 steps of resolution. The clutch features a unique mechanism, to try to recreate the real feel of a car’s clutch. Utilizing a digressive system similar to the Fanatec Clubsport Pedals V2, this system can also be extensively adjusted, or even removed if you just want a linear feel. The clutch, as well as the gas pedal, use industrial grade potentiometers, rated for over a million cycles.
Each set of pedals includes one 5mm hex wrench, one 1.5mm hex wrench, one extra hard brake pedal bushing, and 6 extra M6x1.0 stainless steel bolts with washers.
There is no release date announced yet, but the pedals will be up for pre-order later this year. Because ProtoSimTech will also have to build and ship the units in a reasonable time frame, the orders will be manufactured in batches of twenty. We will keep you posted when the PT-1 pedals are released.

Pre-Ordering:
Pre-Orders will be limited to a total of 20 complete pedal sets, and they will be first come, first serve. This limit is to help ensure that we are able to build all 20 complete sets within a reasonable time frame. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Pre-orders will only be open for a short period of time (TBA). Once the orders have hit the 20 set mark, no more ordering will be possible.
After all 20 pedal sets have been built, tested and then shipped, we will open up our ordering process for another batch of 20 pedal sets. Check out our FAQ page for more details.
Lead Times:
Lead times will be approximately 8-10 weeks. While this may seem like an unusually long period of time, we are a small operation, and we would like to ensure that each pedal set matches the quality that you expect out of a sim racing product. Over time, these lead times will grow shorter.
You can also check out our website, which has tons of useful information about these pedals.
