R3E Audi Sport TT Cup – Physics Development with Joonas Lappalainen

Sector3 Studios is still working hard to get the Audi Sport TT Cup addon ready for RaceRoom Racing Experience.

In a previous video, the Sector3 development team introduced us to Swedish Audi TT Cup driver Mikaela Ahlin Kottulinsky who was helping out by providing the R3E dev team with some valuable feedback regarding the physics of the car.

Besides the girlfriend of F1 driver Max Verstappen, Sector3 Studios also received some help and feedback from 17-year-old Finish Touring Car Driver Joonas Lappalainen who also competed in the 2015 Audi Sport TT Cup.  (lappalainen.ideafrost.com)

In the video the fast Fin shares his experiences with both the real and virtual version of the car. Joonas explains that in his expert opinion the Audi Sport TT Cup for R3E is just about ready for release. Sector3 Studios also used the famous Simracing “Soon” statement to let us know that it won’t be long before we can have a race in these exciting Cup cars.

The Audi Sport TT Cup challenge is a support series for the 2015 DTM Championship. The Series consist out of twelve races during six DTM events. The 18 car starting grid is made up of entrants from 13 nations and three continents. Six cars are reserved for guest drivers such as journalists and celebrities.

The new Audi TT 2015 Cup car weighs in at only 1,125 kilograms and is powered by a two-liter TFSI engine that delivers 228 kW (310 hp).  The cars features a Mario-Cart button that will provide a short boost of 22 kW (30 hp).
